Hey, we told you Lucas Ross is an odd guy!
Last night, an Ogle Mole texted me a TikTok video of what appeared to be a strange Southern woman playing a jovial rendition of "Enter Sandman" on the piano. The 11-second video has already been viewed over 100,000 times on the brain-draining platform.
Included with the video was the following text message: “Is this Lucas Ross?”
Check it out:
For those unaware, Lucas Ross is the official court jester of the Oklahoma City media market.
He’s worked in the creative department at KFOR since the aughts and has been a regular on the Rise and Shine morning show, where his contrived and choreographed bloopers have made national news.
He also plays the banjo, dabbles in sketch comedy, improv, and theatre, and does a variety of other annoying things in his dogged, never-ending quest for fame and attention.
Based on all that—and the fact that Lucas kind of resembles a middle-aged lesbian—I could immediately see why the Mole asked the question...
After watching the "Enter Sandman" clip, I went further into the Nadienne Chitwood wormhole. She has 150,000 followers, and her posts have generated millions of likes.
This video, for example, had garnered over 2 million views:
Yep, not only did over 2 million people watch that, but 184,000 of them took the time to raise their right index finger and click a heart button to show their approval. Large, undetected asteroid, if you can hear me, please hurry up and get here.
Another one of Nadienne’s videos has nearly 1 million views. It’s relatable to any Oklahoman:
Determined to find out if this mysterious woman was actually Lucas Ross, I put on my investigative journalism hat, and in an effort to justify the $5.99 a few of you pay for this website, I Googled Nadienne Chitwood.
Lo and behold, I found this 2017 movie poster:
Yep, that’s right! We have some breaking TikTok influencer news! Nadienne Chitwood isn’t a real person at all, but one of the many fictional characters and personas that Lucas Ross has made up over the years. That $5.99 a month is totally worth it, huh?
Although I assume most TikTok viewers aren’t aware that Nadienne is actually just a tiny little man from Oklahoma who used to grab coffee for Linda Cavanaugh, I’m actually happy that Lucas found a place for his schtick to work.
I’ve heard a lot of people say he’s a really nice and swell guy. Of course, they also said that about his blonde doppelganger Ellen Degeneres, so who knows what to believe.
Regardless, Lucas has always seemed destined for fame, and it’s kind of fitting that he’s finally achieving it by pretending to be a windbreaker-wearing woman from Minco named Nadienne Chitwood on social media. Now if only he can convince Emily Sutton to bring back Stormy, the world will be a better place—well, at least until the asteroid hits us.
Stay with The Lost Ogle. We’ll keep you advised.
