We're stilling cleaning up all the earthquake damage from The Lost Ogle headquarters in Sparks, so my post about the Great 2011 Oklahoma Earthquake Weekend is a bit delayed. However, here's a weird video to make your Monday morning go by a little faster while I'm sleeping:
Yeah, that video's kind of funny. It would be funnier if it was real. Check out what the weird hillbilly from Henryetta wrote in a YouTube comment:
[sic]Hey Guys, thanks for watching the video. It was actually made after the real earthquake. I had been talking to my Dad on the phone when the earthquake hit. I couldn't believe it. After that I told my daughter we should make an earthquake video. She stomped on the floor and I shook the camera. We put it on facebook for a few freinds and it kind of took off a little. At 2:00 in the morning Good Morning America called and was interested in putting it on the air.
I guess we shouldn't be too surprised about this. The guy is an OSU fan. Plus he posted this video a while back. It looks like he's just an attention seeker looking for 15-minutes of regional viral fame. I guess that worked.
If you want to see a genuine reaction to an earthquake, watch the viral video of Mr. Kirk Herbstreit on ESPN. It's a combination of the Office Space "Oh Face" + Scanner's Head Explosion + "Dear God, I'm going to die in Stillwater." Here it is:
