Despite his old license plate kind of giving it away, I guess Paul “Big Tex” Bondar has finally figured out he’s from Texas.
Last night, KFOR’s Spencer Humphrey reported that Bondar – the carpetbagger from Texas by way of Wisconsin who very unsuccessfully tried to unseat Tom Cole’s long-held Oklahoma House seat in 2024 – is running for Congress again, only this time in the area he actually calls home.
Here’s Spencer’s report:
It's official—Paul Bondar is running for Congress again.

Only this time, he's running in a state he was once adamant he did not live.

Yep, that’s right! Oklahoma’s job market is so bleak that even the out-of-state carpetbaggers are leaving for better opportunities elsewhere. Sad stuff, huh?!
Bondar touched on his brief time as an Oklahoman in a press release about his announcement. He praised good for everything not working out:
Bondar ran for Congress last cycle in Oklahoma because he wanted to help our country but felt then-current Congressman Pat Fallon was serving admirably.
“If my grandpa could go halfway around the world to fight for freedom and cross the beaches of Normandy, I thought I could sure travel 100 miles to do the same. But now I get to run from my own home in Texas. Thank God for unanswered prayers.”
I appreciate and respect Bondar’s grandfather for the sacrifices he made on D-Day, but I'm pretty sure that’s what they call in grammar school a “false equivalency.” I know I’m not a moron who somehow made it big in insurance, but there’s a pretty big difference between flying around the world to fight Nazis and driving up I-35 to waste $5 million trying to carpetbag a House seat. Thank God for answering every sane Oklahoman’s prayer to kick this Blundar back to where he came from.
Stay with The Lost Ogle. We’ll keep you advised.
