Greetings Comrades!
Yesterday afternoon, beloved bureaucrat Ryan Langston-Walters – the Minister of Oklahoma Public Education and Indoctrination – premiered a glorious five-minute video that objectively, honestly, and 100% totally accurately summarizes how terroristic teacher unions are trying to corrupt and poison the minds of students and turn public schools into woke, genderless left-wing lunacy camps.
Well, at least that’s what I think Ryan and his henchmen are trying to project.
The video was unleashed during yesterday’s State Board of Education meeting and, as far as misleading maniacal right-wing propaganda goes, is an all-timer!
Produced by some Houston-based political propaganda mill, it splices together clips of unhinged speeches from a national NEA conference, quotes from right-wing boogieman Kamala Harris, as well as podcast interviews with fringe leftists and other weirdos, all in an attempt to slander and villainize Oklahoma teachers.
For added effect and misinformation, they even slapped the OEA logo on some of the clips, because, you know, all teacher unions are terrorist organizations.
The video was briefly available online before being pulled, but not before we were able to score a copy of it via the Ogle Mole Network. Check it out below:
As I said, it’s an all-timer.
Obviously, the clip was created to distract people from the actual harm Ryan is doing to Oklahoma public education – and illicit a negative reaction from educators, media and other sane people – more than it was to rally the Ron Rons, Kev Kevs and Derp Derps of the world.
On that note, I guess you can say the clip was very successful, drawing almost unanimous anger and outrage from the people it was supposed to anger and outrage.
Via The Oklahoman:
A video from the Oklahoma State Department of Education painting the state’s largest teacher union as a menace in public schools, mixed with resolute Fox News sound bites from the head of the state agency, has ratcheted up tensions and deepened frustrations among teachers…
In an era where mass shootings in schools have become tragically common, some feared Walters’ rhetoric could incite violence against educators.
“This video has painted a target on our backs,” said Shaista Fenwick, a Moore High School teacher and union member. “He is going to get us killed, and that video is part of it.”
Walters called that argument “absurd.”
Listen, I think the argument that the video is going to get people killed is a bit dramatic, but I don’t know if I’d call it “absurd.” I’d save that label for the guy who’s making videos that try to make it seem like Oklahoma teachers are defending pedophiles.
Anyway, I have a feeling this won’t be the last time Ryan and Matt create some world-class propaganda to distract people from the harm they’re doing to Oklahoma public education, like you know, walking away from hundreds of millions of dollars in federal grant funding. I just hope in the next video they actually use Oklahoma-based propagandists and support the local economy.
