When they're not busy chasing bad guys at high speeds down congested stretches of interstate highway, endangering the lives of themselves and the general public, our daredevil friends at the Oklahoma Highway Patrol sometimes like to provide a glimpse of the softer and simpler side of the law.
For example, yesterday afternoon, long-time TLO favorite Lt. Kera Philippi was driving through a field searching for a suspect that fled a crash on the H.E. Bailey Turnpike.
During Lt. Philippi's search, she stumbled across a happy donkey that we're going to name Serge Donkbaka. She snapped a selfie with Serge, sent it to her highway patrol friends, who I guess then forwarded it to the OHP social media team. They then shared the image on Twitter and... well... check it out.
Before you could say "Hee-Haw, Hee-Haw," OHP's followers shared some very immature thoughts and observations about the photo, and the tweet was eventually deleted, but not before KOCO Channel 5 filed this report that seemed to be oblivious to it all...
OHP trooper makes unusual find, friend while searching for suspect following crash
An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper made an unexpected find and friend while searching for a suspect.
Lt. Kera Philippi was searching in a field for a suspect that ran off following a crash on the H.E. Bailey Turnpike when she found a donkey.
"In her words, this was one 'jack***' that wasn't too difficult to deal with," Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials posted to social media.
That's hysterical. Based on that image, I have no clue what three-letter word that trio of asterisks is supposed to represent!
For what it's worth, KOCO also deleted the image from their site, but thanks to the Ogle Mole Network, we'll make sure Serge Donkbaka is remembered forever. He deserves it.
Stay with The Lost Ogle. We'll keep you advised.
