Bob Stoops was robbed in a very great way…

Bob Stoops' defenses just haven't been the same in recent years.

In case you missed it, Stoops' new mansion – the Casterly Rock of Norman – was burglarized early Wednesday morning. The robber got away with a car, a few other items and respect from the local crime community for years and years to come.

NewsOK.com has all the exciting details:

The home of Oklahoma football coach Bob Stoops was burglarized early Wednesday while the family slept, police said.

A vehicle and other smaller items were stolen from the residence, but further details were not released because the investigation is still ongoing, Norman police Lt. Eric Lehenbauer said.

The burglary was reported about 8:30 a.m., but it is thought to have occurred between 3:30 and 4:10 a.m., Lehenbauer said.

Several members of the Stoops family were home during the burglary, but no one was hurt, Lehenbauer said.

Police did not release the names of who was home at the time of the burglary.

Geeze, the Stoops family must be as good at locking doors as the OU secondary is at locking down wide receivers. I guess this is what happens when you hire Tom Wort to be your security guard.

According to the Ogle Mole Network, the Norman Police Department already has a list of suspects. They include Rhett Bomar, DeMarcus Granger, Ryan Broyles and the annoying white rapper from that awful OU Anthem video:

God, I forgot about that travesty. Sorry about bringing it up.

Actually, who really did commit this crime? Do you think the burglar knew ahead of time that he was robbing one of the most powerful men in Oklahoma history? If so, that guy has some serious balls. Stoops should recruit him to play defense. James Hale already has the robber listed as a four-star prospect.

Also, what were the "other smaller items" that were stolen? I bet it was a collection of visors, Mary Kay samples and some of Bob Stoops' National Championship rings. Wait... ring. I sometimes forget he only has one.
