Yeah, this is kind of old news, but we figured letting some time pass before sharing this would be the right thing to do.
As you may recall, last year we ran a goofy little series called "Hot Girl a Day in the Month of May." As part of it, we profiled a local Maxim Hometown Hottie named "Nina from Lindsay." Here's what we wrote:
Nina from Lindsay is currently a candidate to win Maxim's "Hometown Hottie" of 2008. Being that she resides so near to us, and looks pretty good in a swimsuit, we should probably help her out. You can vote for her here. For those of you viewing this at work, who don't want a trip to Maxim Online on your browser history, here are some highlights of Nina's profile.
Profile: 34-27-38
Favorite Actress: Marilyn Monroe (which you know is a lie, because who her age has ever actually watched a Marilyn Monroe Movie)
What fun fact, talent, or mutant superpower of yours should guys know about?: It's like Kryptonite baby!! (We don't know what that means, but we'd be interested to find out.)

Unfortunately for us, Nina decided to leave off her Maxim profile that she likes to **allegedly** get drunk, drive, and occasionally kill an innocent bystander enjoying late night meal at IHOP. If she would have included that, we probably would have left her off the list. From NewsOK.com:
The driver who crashed into an IHOP restaurant in Oklahoma City was charged today with first-degree manslaughter.
Nina Danielle McCollom, 24, of Lindsay is accused of driving under the influence at the time of the crash early Friday. An IHOP customer, James Christopher Pitts, 36, died after he was struck. McCollom was driving a sport utility vehicle, police reported.
"The driver stated she only had five beers before the accident," police reported. "The driver smelled strongly of alcoholic beverages and her speech was slightly slurred. She was also unsteady on her feet.
Yes, the drunk driver who **allegedly** killed a man (James Pitts) at IHOP a few weeks ago is a former Hot Girl a Day in the Month of May. Needless to say, Nina no longer seems very hot to us. In fact, she's quite the opposite.
Anyway, our condolences go out to the victim's family. We are not trying to make light of the tragic situation, but simply want to point out how small this world is.
(Note: Due to the sensitivity of the subject matter, the comments for this post have been turned off. If there is something you really want to say, feel free to send an email. Should we receive anything profound enough to share with our readership, we can publish it from that.)
