Like a Jehovah’s Witness on a Saturday morning – ”He’s baaaaaaack.”
Now that Markwayne is in Trump’s cabinet and Congressman Kevin Hern has become the heir apparent to Oklahoma’s junior Senate seat, the rest of the down-ticket political dominoes are starting to fall.
This is most apparent in Tulsa, where a handful of Republicans have already tossed their hats into the ring to take Kevin Hern’s seat, including Corporation Commissioner Kim David, State Representative Mark Tedford, and naturally, crazed Christian nationalist cradle-robber Jackson Lahmeyer.
Remember him?

In case you forgot, Lahmeyer is the pastor at Sheridan Church and founder of an organization called (crazy nut job) Pastors for Trump.
In 2022, he also ran a well-financed, very vitriolic primary campaign against James Lankford, and despite getting endorsements from Mike Flynn, Roger Stone, and a hodgepodge of other GOP crazies, still only managed to score 25% of the primary vote.
Here’s his congressional campaign announcement:
🛑This obsessive Leftist (former reporter for @TheBWSTimes ) @MikeCreef has harassed me and falsely accused me of being a pedophile (over 30x) for nearly 3 years.

Oops. My bad. That’s actually a post where Lahmeyer defended against accusations that he wed a child bride as a young man. You know – common stuff for an Oklahoma political candidate.
Here’s his campaign announcement:
I'm officially announcing my campaign for Congress in Oklahoma's 1st District.

I've spent my life in the pulpit, not in politics. But I've watched career politicians abandon the values that built this country.

Well, that’s interesting.
Back in 2022, Lahmeyer came across as a full-on firebrand, with a speaking style that mimicked a Pentecostal pastor out street-preaching on a Sunday night. He was loud, intense, and always seemed a second or two away from speaking in tongues.
Now he’s apparently trying to look like a calm, composed, and cordial statesman. You know, kind of like how Markwayne did in his Senate hearings, or how Stitt and Bice have in their more “open-minded” shift to the middle. In fact, it has me wondering…
Is this the new trend for crazed right-wing radicals?
During the first Trump and Biden terms, it seemed like being mean, confrontational, and perpetually angry was the path to GOP political success. Now we’re seeing them all play nice. Is this all part of a broader trend? Does polling show voters are growing tired of the Trump-style theatrical politics? Or did Lahmeyer simply learn that the best way for a lunatic to get elected and assume power is to hide his true feelings and act civil and composed?
I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
The Black Wall Street Times has a pretty good breakdown of Lahmeyer’s announcement and how it affects the GOP race for Hern’s seat. I’d suggest you give it a read.
Until then, we’ll be following this new, cordial version of Jackson Lahmeyer and will naturally provide updates if he breaks character, returns to his old self, or, of course, has to once again deny those very normal, very Oklahoma political pedophile accusations.
Stay with The Lost Ogle. We’ll keep you advised.
