Dude gets stuck at Will Rogers for 18-hours. Rewarded with viral video experience.

Let’s be honest – If you had to pick one airport to be stuck in for 18 hours, our very own Will Rogers World Airport would be near the bottom of the list.

No offense to our “world” airport that doesn’t have any international destinations, but it’s small and – ever since Mayor-Dean Holt removed the cow-tipping shirts – kind of boring.

Sure, it has Matt Goad’s art, but outside of that, there’s not a lot to do. Plus, there are only so many Schlotsky’s sandwiches you can eat in an 18-hour span while waiting for your Southwest connecting flight to Love Field.

Anyway, some realtor tech guy who goes around the country talking about how AI is going to change the world learned this the hard way. For some reason, he was stranded at Will Rogers for 18 hours while waiting for a flight out of town.

I guess the airline felt sorry for him and – for reasons unknown – rewarded him with his own private flight to North Carolina, complete with a full crew, so that he could share it on Tik Tok and achieve viral overnight fame.

Here’s the video that, so far, has 55-million views:

In a strange way, I guess being the only person on a flight is every traveler's fantasy. Not having to wait for dumb slow people to grab their overhead bags when deboarding seems kind of nice, but I imagine it got old pretty fast. For example, in an empty plane, you don’t get to check out hot people as they walk down the center aisle, searching for a seat. That's one of the highlights of flying, right? Plus, it’s probably more difficult to pass gas, because if it smells, it will obviously be you.

Outside of that, though, it seems kind of cool. I mean, it's still not worth being stranded at Will Rogers for 18 hours, but cool nonetheless.
