5 Best Honeymoon Destinations in Oklahoma!

Hello, my children!

As your favorite internet minister, I’d like to be the first to wish you a happy wedding season! Not only is June the busiest wedding month of the year, but being that COVID-19 cases are dropping like Oklahoma lawmakers in a sex offender sting operation, everyone seems to be gearing up to get hitched nowadays.

This also means that Oklahomans are planning their honeymoons! While some seek out exotic cruises or all-inclusive resorts for their post-nuptial fun, I’d encourage couples to look no further than a few counties over. In fact, here’s the 5 best honeymoon destinations in Oklahoma!

Beaver

Located in the Oklahoma panhandle, it’s the perfect place to get away from it all (literally) and have a romantic getaway with just the two of you…in at least a 45-mile radius.

Turner Falls

No joke, this place is dope. Quaint cabins. Romantic waterfalls. A friggin medieval castle. Just bring your Off! bug spray so you don’t put the “tick” in romantic.

Wine Tasting

I took wine tasting class in college and my old professor used to say Oklahoma just doesn’t have the terroir to grow wine grapes. Well, he also gave me an A in class and I just listed random fruit names you’d find on Dum Dums sucker wrappers during my tasting quizzes, so I don’t think he knew as much about wine as he let on. Good news for honeymooners, TravelOK.com lists like 48 wineries across the state. If she’s not happy about honeymooning in Oklahoma, she will be after the 4th or 5th stop on an Oklahoma wine tour.

The Winstar

When you have European tastes, but an Oklahoma economy budget. Don’t knock it for a honeymoon destination, because A) Vino's has bomb cheesecake and B) It’s conveniently and literally located in Love County, Oklahoma.

A Noodling Festival

They’ve already married you. Plus, they should’ve been a little more specific when they asked for a waterfront view and fresh seafood all weekend.
