In this week's obligatory Emily Sutton post, we mentioned the Ogle Madness VII runner-up (still burns, huh?) is getting her own line of beer and has snakes in her backyard.
In the post, I made the following prediction:
I wonder what Lacey Swope and Channel 9 are going to do to one up this? I bet they launch a whole line of limited edition News 9 Weather Beers presented by Weather X Extreme Storm Shelters and Camelot Roofing. That would be pretty amazing. I got first dibs on Lord England’s Lighting Pale Ale. You all can have David’s Tornado IPAyne.
It looks like I was kind of right and kind of wrong. Channel 9 did make sure to respond to Emily Sutton's tweets. I just picked the wrong one.
Look who suddenly has a fear of snakes:
First of all, don't leave the video running and then open up a new tab in your browser. The whole thing sounds very pornographic and your coworkers will give you strange looks.
Anyway, I'm just giving News 9 a hard time here. I'm sure it's just a big coincidence that they sent Jed Castles to the zoo to overcome his fear of snakes the week after our weather princess found a toad killing viper in her backyard. It's not like they go out of their way to clone Emily and mimic everything she does or anything like that. When they send Jed to the firehouse to oversee a hunky fireman photo shoot, I'm sure that will be a coincidence, too.
