Somehow, these people can’t get dates…

Oklahoma Magazine - which is quickly becoming my favorite state magazine that's based out of Tulsa and trying to reach a larger Oklahoma City audience - is having a "Single in the City Charity Auction" this Thursday at Buddha Tao on N. Memorial. Here are the details:

The evening will be filled with music, drinks and hors d'oeuvres. The highlight of the evening will be a singles auction featuring 12 of the areas most eligible bachelors and bachelorettes. Presenting sponsors include Oklahoma Magazine, Buddha Tao and Singles Station Dating Co.

Tickets can be purchased for $20 in advance at Make-A-Wish offices at 5225 N. Shartel #102 in OKC, or at Oklahoma Magazine's office at 2424 E. 21st St. in Tulsa. Tickets at the door will be $25. For more information, call 918.744.6205 or visit us online at okmag.com.

I guess the big news here is that Paco Balderrama is one of the singles up selling his flesh for charity. According to this post from an ill advised, short lived feature from last June, Paco has a very loyal following of fans in the Oklahoma City Metro area. These fans include:

Every female visitor to The Lost Ogle
My Girlfriend
"¢ My Grandma
Brent Skarky

I guess the other big news is that Renzi Stone didn't make the list. And he's not even single! Seriously, that guy makes just about every special publication that's printed in Oklahoma. I wouldn't even be surprised if The Journal Record includes a "20 Things Renzi Stone Would Do" in next year's Book of Lists.  Mark it down, it will happen.

Anyway, to find out all the people who are up for sale in this year's event, click here. And to demand that Cardboard Jim Traber be invited to participate in next year's auction, email Oklahoma Magazine today.
