Tevis Hillis leaves News 9 to work for Governor Stitt…

Joleen Chaney is about to have some TV news company at the State Capitol!

Thanks to a tip via the Ogle Mole Network, we’ve learned that Tevis Hillis – a former Ms. Lawton who spent the last several years as an anchor and reporter for KWTV Channel 9 – has apparently left the news channel to work in the press office for Governor Stitt.

Remember her?

Okay, so you rarely watch local TV news either and have no clue who she is? Glad I’m not alone!

Anyway, I’m not 100% sure what Tevis’s new position is – from what I'm hearing, it will be more of a comms support role – but based on Stitt’s other comms foot soldiers, I assume attacking the press, political opponents, and the governor’s other enemies, while giving preferential treatment to his friends, allies, and family members, will be a big part of her new job!

Either way, we wish her the best of luck, and we’re looking forward to seeing the excuses she comes up with to deny open records requests.

Stay with The Lost Ogle. We’ll keep you advised.
