Angry Liberal Boomer Women Write Tom Cole a Letter…

After a tumultuous six months fending off a primary challenge by proud Oklahoman Paul Bondar and his scattered legion of MAGA-moron supporters, Oklahoma Congressman Tom Cole has a feisty new opponent to deal with – angry liberal Boomer women!

Last night, KFOR filed a story about "Women in Action for All" – a group of vagabond Lindas, Kathies, and Janets who are mad as hell and not going to take it anymore.

Here are the deets:

On Monday morning, the group Women in Action for All wrote a letter and delivered it to U.S. Rep. Tom Cole’s local office in Norman in hopes that he will answer some of their questions.

The women also rallied outside his office, hoping their chants will ring all the way to Washington.

“He is 76. And I want to say, what do you want your legacy to be?” Rhonda Stock said.

Stock is the chair of the organization that she says normally focuses on local politics. However, amid recent controversial federal layoffs nationally, they wanted to change that. So, they put together a letter for Cole.

Before I write anything else, I want to say that I LOVE angry liberal Boomer women.

Out of all the various feminist groups, they’re by far the coolest and have the most street cred.

And no, I’m not just saying that because I was raised by one or because they – outside of middle-aged male lawyers, unruly teachers, and high-income corporate executives – make up our largest demographic of readers and subscribers.

I’m saying that because they genuinely are awesome and bad ass.

Unlike their whinier daughters and granddaughters, these women were true trailblazers in the fight for women’s rights—shattering corporate and political barriers, breaking through glass ceilings, and doing it all in a male-dominated world steeped in sexism, discrimination, and trauma.

Better yet, after being subjected to repeated forced viewings of Animal House, Caddyshack, and Stripes throughout the '70s and '80s, they managed to maintain a sense of humor—understanding the difference between dopey comedy and real life without taking offense.

Some of them can even cook, so that’s an added bonus!

Anyway, I guess my questions here are:

A) Why did it take a whole squad to deliver a letter instead of just mailing it from the post office down the street?

B) What’s in the letter?

“We just want to let him know that we do not agree with his following the new administration’s policies,” Stock said.

It spells out their issues with recent actions.

“Contrary to law, Musk and Trump have given themselves the power to impound revenue duly appropriated by Congress,” protester Judith Lewis said.

It also asks for three things:

1. For Cole to hold town hall meetings.
2. To insist on the power of the House Appropriations Committee
3. For Cole to support an investigation into Elon Musk’s recent actions.

Listen, I don’t think Tom Cole – a Republican political maestro – is going to be influenced or swayed by what some women who won’t vote for him either way have to say in a letter, but it’s the thought and media attention here that count.

In a quasi-democratic society controlled by money and powerful political party extremists who have gerrymandered victories, votes today may not count for much, but you still have the freedom to yell and scream and let people know you’re mad about it.

Well, until the Trump MAGA regime that Cole has enabled takes those rights away from us.

KFOR was on hand when the women delivered the letter to Tom’s office. Ironically enough, it was accepted by the one member of Cole’s staff who is still a virgin: Assistant Legislative Liaison Samwell Tarly.

Okay, just to clarify to all the angry liberal Boomer women out there reading this, that guy’s name isn’t Samwell Tarly.

I called him that because he kind of resembles Sam from Game of Thrones. You know, that HBO show that your kids once enjoyed but you never watched because it was too violent and aired at the same time as The Good Wife.

Anyway, I’d like to wish these angry Boomer women – and, in all honesty, all women who aren’t right-wing MAGA blowhards – the best of luck fighting and resisting Trump, the MAGA-right, and traditional GOP good ol’ boys as they hastily try to strip away all the rights women have fought so hard to gain over the last, oh, hundred years or so.
