There’s been another big shake-up on the News 9 morning show.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve received a small flurry of emails and messages from concerned TLO readers asking the whereabouts of Jordan Ryan – the former Thunder Girl turned News 9 morning show side host.
I guess you can’t blame them for their concern.
Jordan hasn’t been on the air for several weeks, her social media profiles have disappeared, and her bio has been scrubbed from the News 9 website like she never existed. On top of that, she’s a relatively new mom – something that I believe News 9 management considers a fireable offense!
Naturally, I grabbed my magnifying glass and deerstalker hat and got to work, hitting up the Ogle Mole Network to find out Jordan’s whereabouts and/or if she has any single Thunder Girl friends.
A couple of text messages, DMs, and one phone call later, I have some good news and bad news to report.
Bad News: Jordan is no longer with News 9, leaving "Oklahoma’s Own" morning couch with one less bubbly brunette to wake you up in the morning. Womp womp.
Good News: Jordan is apparently moving over to the KOCO Channel 5 morning show, where she’ll reportedly make more money and receive better benefits! Yee haw!
Now, before you Jordan Ryan superfans organize a watch party at Jimmy's Egg to celebrate her return, I should warn you that her KOCO debut is still a few months away. It seems she has to wait for her News 9 contract to officially expire – or something like that – before she can go on air and toss it to Jonathan for the bus stop forecast.
Anyway, if and when we find out the date of her debut, and/or if she has any single Thunder Girl friends, I’ll be sure to update it here.
