We'd like to send a big TLO attaboy to US Congressman Markwayne Mullen! It looks like he'll be the next US Senator from Oklahoma!
Over the weekend, former US President Donald J. Trump endorsed the right-wing MMA trust fund truck-bro over former Oklahoma House Speaker T.W. Shannon – a right-wing lawyer, banker, social media personality and proud member of the Chickasaw Nation – in the upcoming GOP Senate runoff. The winner will face Kendra Horn in the November election.
On one hand, the news is a tad surprising...
Mullin and Shannon both went full Stormy Daniels on Trump over the past four to six years, going down on the president whenever the opportunity presented itself.
As a loyal minion, Mullin always backed the Presidents' policies and rhetoric, and even tried to welcome the President's traitors and insurrectionists on January 6th, before cowering in fear!
Shannon was also all-aboard the Trump bandwagon.
As co-chair of Blacks for Trump, he appeared at national MAGA rallies and inside cable news studios, praising the president wherever and whenever he could, all while serving as a bank president for the Chickasaw Nation. He took his support so far that he tagged his social media posts with Qanon hashtags.
With both guys being such affable, stylish, and distinguished right-wing nut jobs, I figured Trump would stay neutral in the runoff and not endorse anyone.
Did Trump have access to polling data or information that shows Markwayne is going to win in a landslide? You know he wouldn't have made this pick if he wasn't sure the guy who won't say the Trail of Tears by name was going to win.
Here's what the President said:
Congressman Markwayne Mullin is running to represent the Great State of Oklahoma in the United States Senate. I won Oklahoma twice, by record margins, and Markwayne will be doing the same thing for many years to come!..
Markwayne has also seen the abuse that has taken place with the January 6th Unselect Committee, and the unfair treatment given to many people that went “peacefully and patriotically” to the Capitol, and now are being treated unfairly and with disdain. He understands this subject better than almost anybody. Many of these Americans are being held captive, while nothing happens to “the other side.
Markwayne Mullin is an America First Warrior, and has my Complete and Total Endorsement!
Ohhh. I guess Trump simply appreciated the loyalty Markwayne showed when he welcomed all the people who were storming the capitol on January 6th. Did I mention he cowered in fear?
I guess there could be other reasons for the endorsement. Racism is always a strong possibility. Trump's most aggressive supporters may have revolted if he chose the candidate of color over the rich white dude who smells like oversized truck tires. There also could have been some sort of gentlemen's agreement or bribe between the two...
"Mr. Rightfully Elected President, I offer free plumbing at all Trump hotels and resorts in exchange for one Senate endorsement."
"Deal!"
Regardless of why or how Markwayne got the endorsement, T.W. Shannon took the news okay...

Wow. Spoken like a loyal company Yes-man. Maybe if Trump gets elected again, he'll put T.W. in charge of the EPA?
Anyway, even though this race seems like a shut and closed deal, I guess we'll still write about it from time to time.
