Now that we've heard the OTA's pitch for the new turnpike on The Lost Ogle Show, it's time to hear the case against it.
Earlier this week, I had the honor of speaking with Dr. Amy Cerato with PikeOffOTA to get her take on the controversial turnpike expansion that's planned to slice through southeast Moore, Norman, Oklahoma City, and other rural metro communities.
Dr. Cerato is uniquely qualified to speak on the topic, as she's both A) a Professor in the School of Civil Engineering and Environmental Science at OU, and B) lives directly in the path of the proposed turnpike. We discussed her background as a civil engineer, criticisms of the route, the need for new highways, environmental concerns, and even rose rocks.
Check it out below:
We'd like to thank Dr. Cerato for coming on the podcast to talk about the turnpike, and Randy "Mile High" Mitchell for being a swell producer. If you'd like to hear my full interview with Joe Echelle – The Deputy Director of the OTA – you can do so here.
As always, The Lost Ogle Show is free to listen to wherever fine podcasts are bought, sold and traded. Stay with The Lost Ogle. We'll keep you advised.
