Oklahoma’s Abortiotourism Industry Is Booming!

5:41 AM EDT on September 3, 2021

Be prepared to see a new abortion clinic or two open up on I-35 near the Red River!

Thanks to the state's new restrictive and draconian abortion laws, News 9 is reporting that Texas women who want to be the ultimate decider on whether or not they welcome a new life into the world are now flocking to Oklahoma to get their abortions.

That's pretty wild. Back in the olden times, Texas was the place Oklahomans would visit when they wanted to legally buy strong beer, purchase hardcore pornography or get a tattoo. Now Oklahoma is the place Texans visit to legally gamble, buy weed or get an abortion! It's funny how the sin-based tourism pendulum swings.

Unfortunately, I don't think Oklahoma's abortiotourism industry is going to be booming for very long. Here's why:

!We have our own draconian and restrictive abortion laws that will be enacted soon, and thanks to the rivalry between our two states, you know Oklahoma lawmakers are going to want to one-up those stooges down in Texas. That's why I fully expect the Oklahoma legislature to pass a bill in the next legislative session that will prohibit women from even thinking about abortion unless it was a lawmaker who got her pregnant.

Until then, our state should try to profit from this tourism boom while we can. Maybe Stitt could film some new ads encouraging Texans to come here as opposed to New Mexico or Louisiana?

Sure, it may be hypocritical for a pro-life guy like Stitt to promote abortion, but hypocrisy has never stopped politicians before, so why should it now?
