Over the past couple of weeks, I've received a bunch of inquiries from concerned TLO readers asking what happened to KOCO anchor/reporter Mecca Rayne, who has been mysteriously absent from their TV sets and social media feeds for the last couple of months.
When I hit up some KOCO Moles to find out, their response was something to the effect of "We have no clue. She may be on medical leave. We were hoping you could tell us! Also, Abigail Ogle just bought a new battle-hammer and wanders the hallways with it at night like a possessed demon mentioning the names of Twitter trolls under her breath. Could be a story there."
Well, it looks like those inquiries from Ogle Moles about Mecca made their way to Mecca... and her mom... and her sister.
On Friday, she shared a social media post explaining where she's been. It has something to do with being sick in the morning because a human being is growing inside her...
TLDR – Mecca is dealing with some major-league morning sickness, which means she's pregnant! Although the editor wants to suggest that Mecca not bury the lede the next time she shares an update like this, we'll give her pass, and instead offer our congratulations!
