New OKC Cock Ring Erected in Downtown!

9:49 AM EDT on September 4, 2018

Oklahoma City's public art is getting harder and harder to top.

Back in August, we received a tip via the Ogle Mole Network about a new piece of public art being erected in Downtown OKC at the weird intersection of Broadway and Dean A. McGee. It's already being dubbed by locals as the Downtown OKC Cock Ring.

Pretty cool, huh?

According to the Mole, the purpose of the Cock Ring is to A) hide a new power transformer for the streetcar and B) provide a gathering spot for immature Oklahomans of all ages to meet while cruising around downtown on their little motorized scooters. I heard via the Ogle Mole Network that Devon chairman Larry Nichols was so impressed by the enclosure that he's considering building a gigantic replica to fit around the base of the Devon Tower.

Because I'm a disorganized new dad who doesn't know up from down and left from right, I dropped the ball and forget to inform our fair readers about the Cock Ring. Fortunately, Haley Luna – a close confidant of many Ogle Moles – shared this beautiful photo of a completed and fully operational Cock Ring on Twitter to remind me about it.

So, how many cocks do you see in the photo? Seven? Eight? Nine? Or are you a white supremacist and too transfixed by the KKKs to notice? Either way, let this be a warning to clueless folks that any art concept that includes Oklahoma City's airport initials needs to be treated carefully.

Anyway, I have an email out to the city to see who designed and approved the cock ring, and how much it cost. I also have an open offer of $50 cash to the first couple to take professional engagement photos in front of the Cock Ring and send them our way.
