Yesterday, we relayed to you the touching story about the adorable mother and daughter from Duncan who loved each other so much they decided to get married. They showed us that true love has no bounds, weird things happen in rural Oklahoma, and that people who prefer incest are also really big Superman fans:

Seriously, what's up with the Superman fetish? I thought rural folks who sleep with each other preferred to wear Tasmanian Devil, Tweety Bird and other Looney Tunes inspired apparel. Times are a changin'!

For some reason, not everyone is pleased with this modern-day twist on Romeo and Juliet (or Lois and Clark). KSWO 7 – Lawton's incestual news leader  – caught up with Cody Spanna (pictured at the top). He's the son / son-in-law / brother / brother-in-law in this complicated family tree. He's pretty mad about the ordeal.

Via KSWO:

A Duncan brother whose siblings have been accused of having an incestuous relationship with their mother says his siblings are victims of manipulation at the hands of a predator.

“I think she's worthless she put my sister into this.  She forced my sister into this, there's a lot of people that know it. For you to want to put your own daughter through this, what kind of person are you?  If that's what you want that's on you, but none of us kids want that, and now you got my sister behind bars because of your choices, why don't you let that sit on you as a mom,” said Cody Spann.

I don't blame this guy for being angry. I'd be pissed, too! Does this mean he now has to buy his mother and sister a gift for Mother's Day? I'm not sure how that works.

Since yesterday's post, KSWO has discovered the alleged motivation for the Patricia's two incestual relationships. Yeah, remember that? She also married a different son in 2008.

The union of Patricia Spann, 43, and her daughter, Misty Spann, 25, was discovered just last month by an investigator with the Department of Human Services.

Court documents say this is the second time Patricia Spann has married one of her children. She married one of her sons in 2008, but the marriage was annulled in March 2010.

Patricia told investigators that the relationship with her son was not sexual, and the marriage happened as a way to prevent him from being deployed with the military. She says she married her daughter in hopes of adopting a child.

I know DHS has taken its hits over the years, and I admittedly don't know how the adoption process works, but I think "Incestual Relationship With Daughter" may turn up a few red flags on the adoption application. Hell, I don't even think you can adopt a highway under that situation. She should have married an abusive alcoholic instead. It would have greatly improved her chances.
