Marianne Rafferty is out at Channel 4…

It looks like I've lost another KFOR co-worker.

Last Friday, I learned the Marianne Rafferty – a former Fox News blonde and Meg Alexander's replacement - was parting ways with the station.

I know this because Scott Hines brought some cheesy jalapeno cornbread muffins to work – something he does when we lose a co-worker – and because Marianne sent everyone this "Farewell Friends" email:

Yep, it's official. Marianne uses script font in her email signature. Never trust those people.

In all honesty, I kind of expected Marianne to leave. From what I've been hearing and have observed, this appears to be a mutual split up. Marianne just never really fit in. She was brought in to fill Meg Alexander's shoes, but I don't think anyone realized just how many pairs of shoes Meg owned, or that they all smelled like prosecco.

In addition to that, Marianne and the KFOR news director didn't really get along. They were always bickering. Plus, things have been kind of awkward around the station ever since Marianne pegged Linda Cavanaugh in the face during the big kickball match at the KFOR Summer picnic. I guess she didn't get the memo that you're always supposed to let Linda win.

Anyway, we wish Marianne the best of luck in her future endeavors. I would write more about it, but I just got an email that Scott Hines brought lemon bundt cake to work today. I guess somebody is getting promoted!
