On Tuesday, Jessica Alba issued the following apology regarding her recent binge of animal rights activism, or as the Oklahoma City police calls it, vandalism:
"I got involved in something I should have had no part of. I realize that I should have used better judgment and I regret not thinking things through before I made a spontaneous and ill-advised decision to let myself get involved with the people behind this campaign. I sincerely apologize to the citizens of Oklahoma City and to the United Way for my involvement in this incident."
Hmmn. Is that really an apology? It's kind of like a kid blaming his friends for the pot that his parents found in his top dresser drawer. Also, maybe instead of forcing Jessica to do stupid things like plaster shark posters to concrete walls, these activists should focus on more important causes...like getting Jessica to pose nude in a movie or something.
Anyway, now that Jessica has apologized, I wonder if this is the end of the story. Some commenter claims that "White Mike" "” the man behind the shark posters"”is this photographer, but I'm not sure that matters. What I do know, though, is that since we first discovered the pictures of Alba vandalizing OKC, things have been pretty busy at The Lost Ogle. We've been cited by national media outlets like TMZ, Eonline, New York Daily News, and Access Hollywood, and we've been referenced locally by NewsOK, KWTV Channel 9 and Channel 6 in Tulsa. We've also had a large number of celebrity gossip blogs link to us. Our favorite link so far has come from HollywoodFail:
The Lost Ogle, a blog devoted to writing about Oklahoma City (proving there is a blog for just about everything now), found out that Alba had descended upon their city and plastered shark posters all over the place. She did so with help from a guy who loves sharks so much he wants to marry them.
Yeah, I guess there really is a blog for everything. I also guess that all the publicity we've received over the past 48 hours is pretty good for an "obscure local social blog" that (according to The Sports Animal) posts unoriginal content. Who knows what we'll ever do or stumble across to top all this, but if it involves a hot female celebrity, hopefully she's wearing a pink bikini.
