Oklahoma County will soon find itself under less creepy leadership!
Well, I hope.
On Friday afternoon, just in time for it to die over a weekend news cycle, embattled Oklahoma County Commissioner Myles Davidson – the AI addict who recently faced sexual assault allegations – announced he is resigning from office.
The news comes just weeks after a judge granted a three-year VPO against him.
Via The OKC Free Press:
On March 6, the office of Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond announced that it would not be filing criminal charges against Davidson in regard to the allegations, citing “insufficient evidence.” But on March 11, Cleveland County Associate District Judge Beth Stanley granted a three-year victim’s protective order, or VPO, to Davidson’s accuser.
The woman had been in a position that worked closely with Oklahoma Circuit Engineering Districts while Davidson served on the Board of Directors of Circuit Engineering District #5 per his role as County Commissioner.
In court filings, the woman alleged that the married Davidson had exposed himself to her while intoxicated and touched or grabbed her inappropriately multiple times, among other claims, many of which are alleged to have occurred while on official business or in county-issued vehicles.
Yikes. Just the thought of Myles exposing himself makes me feel violated, so I can only imagine what his victim went through! Here’s hoping she’s able to move on from this saga and doesn’t have to worry about receiving any more late-night, sad, creepy texts from Davidson… or his wife!

Anyway, now that Davidson is gone, he’ll be temporarily replaced by his deputy until a new commish is elected.
Via Yawn Doc:
In his resignation letter, Davidson said his chief deputy, Paul Foster, will serve the remainder of his term. Davidson had been up for reelection this year, but it’s unclear if he had planned to run for another four-year term prior to this month’s VPO hearing.
“It has been an honor to serve the citizens of Oklahoma County, and I am grateful for the opportunity to do so,” Davidson wrote.
Formal candidate filing is set to begin April 1, and Republican candidates Wendy Jo Hampton and Alex Warren have already announced campaigns for Oklahoma County’s District 3 seat.
Wait a second. Wendy Jo Hampton? When I read that name, I had to Google it because it sounded familiar and, well…
Yep, the lady vying to replace Myles Davidson is the same marijuana lab owner who was fine with 2% of the global population dying during a pandemic! As long as she doesn’t have any VPOs, I guess that’s a step in the right direction.
