One of the cool things about the Thunder’s NBA Championship run was seeing all the former OKC greats — and not-so-greats — come to town to celebrate the team’s success. That includes former Thunder big man Kendrick Perkins.
He, along with his rambunctious wife Vanity — public enemy number one of the OKC nail salon scene — visited OKC several times this past spring to cover the squad for ESPN, see old acquaintances, and — apparently — teach sad life lessons to local small businesses!
Well, at least that’s what one metro woman is claiming.
Last week, the TLO iTeam 5000 learned that Tiffany Perkins — a local woman who owns Hand2Hand Creations LLC and is of no relation to Kendrick or Vanity — filed a lawsuit in small claims court alleging that Vanity failed to pay for 16 hand-crafted personalized gift sets that she ordered for a destination birthday trip to the Dominican Republic.
You know, fancy little personalized presents that affluent social media influencer types give their friends — things like embroidered towels, tumblers, bags, and cute little fake passports.
Here are some of the pics of the items:

We found out about the lawsuit — and scored these photos — after Tiffany reached out to us.
According to Tiffany, she and Vanity became social media acquaintances about four years ago. Although they weren’t besties, their digital acquaintanceship had grown to the point where they communicated online every now and then. You know the drill — liking photos, leaving emoji comments, texting, etc.
As a result, when Vanity came to OKC in May for the NBA playoffs, she invited Tiffany to meet at the Omni hotel.
“I was so excited," Tiffany told TLO. “We caught up, and I talked about my new business. That’s when we started talking about gift ideas for her birthday trip.”
Tiffany and Vanity met again in June when the Perkins clan returned for the NBA Finals. According to Tiffany, she shared specific ideas for the project, got the green light, and the work began.
“We went over the plans and ideas, and she basically said, ‘Let me know how much I owe you.’ I didn’t think it was an issue.”
After sending Vanity pics of the completed products — and before shipping the gift sets to Houston — Vanity asked how much she owed. Tiffany quoted her a $100 price tag per gift set, for a total of $1,600.

And that’s when things got weird.
Not too long after Tiffany provided the total, one of Vanity’s friends — a mysterious woman named Brittaney — reached out to question the price. Here are some screenshots of the conversation:

To be clear, I’ve never bought anything on Etsy and once nearly shot my eye out with a glue gun, so I have no clue if $1,600 is a fair price for these types of handmade products.
Tiffany did provide the TLO iTeam 5000 with an itemized invoice showing what the project cost her in time and materials, and from that vantage point, the price does seem fairly reasonable:

Tiffany told us the texts led to a phone call with Vanity that “was not a pleasant conversation.”
“She questioned my business skills and everything. It was very hurtful.”
After the call, and without getting paid, Tiffany said she didn’t feel comfortable shipping the products and was left stuck with 16 very personalized destination birthday gift sets. Although her chances of recouping any money are small, she filed a lawsuit in small claims court on July 2.
The very next day, on July 3, Vanity left a Facebook post touting her clout and influence, and accusing Tiffany of being a stalker — without mentioning her by name.
Vanity also teased a TikTok series that will document the whole fiasco.

Yep, that’s right. Vanity could charge money to promote the local businesses, but does it for free. What a doll! I can’t wait to watch her TikTok series. I’m sure she’ll drop it the same day she’s welcomed back to the US Nails salon:
First of all, I miss seeing Erielle Reshef on local TV. In case you didn't know, she's in the big leagues now!
Second, although we wish Tiffany the best of luck in her lawsuit, I doubt she’ll ever see the money she claims she’s owed. She never had a contract or purchase order, and after her phone call with Vanity, didn’t ship the items. That’ll make recovering her losses tough, if not impossible.
Plus, as Kendrick has shown, the Perkins family seems to be pretty good at not paying money they owe.
During our TLO iTeam 5000 investigation, we learned Kendrick lost a civil lawsuit in 2023 and was ordered to pay an Oklahoma man $72,000 after a business deal went sideways. That case is now in the wage garnishment phase. Meanwhile, another lawsuit in Texas — where Kendrick and Vanity were sued by a landlord for $37,714 in unpaid rent — is still winding through the courts.
Anyway, I know there are two sides to every story, so I’m really looking forward to Vanity’s upcoming TikTok exposé where she explains what happened from her point of view and puts Tiffany — a single mom who never married a man who accumulated $57 million in career NBA earnings — in her place.
In the meantime, if you know any other A’Miahs, Johneices, or Renashas out there who might need a new towel, tumbler, or travel bag, give Tiffany a shout. I bet you can score a deal!
