When PETA and Governor Meathead fights, nobody wins…

I don't have a problem with people who eat mammals. Although I've reduced my intake in recent years, I love a good steak, burger, pulled-pork sandwich, gyro, tenderloin, ribs, etc. Hell, I've probably consumed enough 1/4-pound and 1/3-pound burgers from Braum's to buy Ms. Braum a new Cadillac! Although there are major ethical and environmental concerns with the livestock industry, eat away.

I also don't have a problem with people who only eat plants. Some of my best friends are vegan, and I can get down on that cuisine, as well. The Loaded Bowl makes some great food and the vegetarian dinner at Picasso's Cafe is always recommended. Although there are major ethical and environmental concerns with the factory farming industry, eat away.

And, finally, I don't have a problem with people who eat ass! It's not my thing, but everyone has a kink. Although there are major ethical and health concerns with the ass-eating industry, eat away.

Anyway, I bring this up because although I don't have a problem with people who eat mammals, plants or ass, I do have an issue when these annoying ass-eaters go out of their way to try to one-up the other, which is what's happening right now in an insufferable derpoff between Governor Kevin Stitt and PETA.

Here's a recap...

1. In response to Colorado's vegan Governor declaring a "Meat Out Day" across his state, insufferable Oklahoma Governor Kevin "Meat Sweat" Stitt – always looking for an opportunity to pander to his supporters and distract from his failed record – designated an "Eat Meat Week Across Oklahoma."

2. In response to Stitt's move, the insufferable animal rights organization PETA booked a billboard referring to Kevin Stitt as a "meathead," not knowing that Stitt – and most of the Oklahoma electorate – would interpret that as a compliment.

3. To milk the PETA response for all its worth, Kevin Stitt organized a cookout at the billboard. Naturally, he invited the media to come out and shoot photos and videos and help him fulfill his goal of using free earned media to A) stick it to the libs, and B) pander to simple-minded meat-eating morons. The media happily obliged...

Naturally, the right-wing meat-eaters who think all liberal people support PETA enjoyed the publicity stunt and herded over to lend their support. This includes notorious State Senator Nathan Dahm. Despite rumors circulating around the capitol that he'll give a BJ to whoever buys him a sirloin, he was on hand to celebrate. He even brought pita bread, because you know, that's hilarious:

I already feel all gross and icky like an S&B burger for even covering this, so I think I'll wrap this up. I guess we'll wait around and see what PETA does in response, and then what Stitt does to respond to that, in this never-ending insufferable food-driven cold war.
