On Monday, February 22nd, I was one of about 10,000 Oklahomans to get my first COVID-19 vaccine shot at an IMMY Diagnostics super "galactapod" event at the Embassy Suites in Norman.
Yes, it's official. I got the old shot in the arm! I guess having asthma finally paid off for me. Now who's ready to play some bar trivia?!
When I scheduled my shot, I was expecting mass chaos. I envisioned a pre-pandemic TSA line at the Denver airport – long, winding and, worst of all, no pre-check.
Thankfully, my expectations were defied. I arrived for my 8:45pm shot right on time, and about 20 - 25 minutes, I was on the road heading back to OKC, feeling like a massive weight had already been removed from my shoulders. The entire operation was organized, efficient and restored my faith in humanity. In fact, I was so impressed with the vaccination event that I decided to have one of the people behind it – Sean Bauman, CEO of IMMY Diagnostics – on The Lost Ogle Show and talk all about it!
