Notice anything different?

5:13 AM EST on February 22, 2021

Over the weekend, we've been working to implement a new WordPress theme on this website. I think it officially makes it Lost Ogle Version 5.0.

With this update, we wanted to...

A) Freshen things up

B) Upgrade to a more stable theme

C) Keep things simple

I think we're on the path to accomplishing accomplishing that goal.

75% of our traffic comes from mobile, and a good chunk of that traffic lands directly on an article. If that describes your browsing habits, you're not going to notice a huge difference with this new design, outside of it hopefully loading faster. If you have us bookmarked, or go old school and type us into your web browser, you'll see we have updated the home page on desktop and mobile. It pushes us a bit towards what they call a "newspaper" or "magazine" theme. I hope you like it.

Anyway, you know how websites back in the olden times would have graphics saying "Under Construction?" Well, that's a bit of what's going on here. As we unpacked the new theme from our staging site last night, when ran into a couple of bug/issues with the live site that we're aware of and need to fix. That being said, if you spot something you think we should know about, shoot us an email, or just do what you always do and leave a cynical, condescending comment.

Either way, thanks for being patient as we get this news site tidied up over the next couple of days. Stay with The Lost Ogle. We'll keep you advised.
