Before we had NBA playoff basketball and Bricktown shootings to obsess over, the Big 12 Baseball Tournament was actually a big deal for Oklahoma City. Now it seems like the only person who cares about is Jim Traber. Hell, even the people who make signs at the Bricktown Ballpark are apathetic to it.
Well, that's kind of embarrassing. I know that we have our fair share of typos around here, but at least our letters aren't 10 feet tall.
Anyway, it's kind of sad how local interest in the Big 12 Baseball Tournament has waned in recent years. Back when it was the Big 8 Baseball Tournament, I actually looked forward to the thing. Granted, that probably had more to do with the fact that All Sports Stadium had that big hill along left field where you and other kids could try to kill each other while going after a foul ball, but still, it was fun.
