For the most part, I haven’t given much thought to the Lt. Governor’s race.
This is for a couple of reasons.
The first is that – outside of its influence over tourism and a handful of other state functions – it’s kind of a meaningless office… a glorified ribbon-cutting position that mostly seems to exist to handle all the official state business the Governor’s office is too good for. You know, stuff like attending grand openings, speaking at banquets, and approving fraudulent invoices for your BBQ grifter buddies.
