Under the best circumstances, the state fair is a bit of a crapshoot. You may have a great time, but you’ll likely get a sunburn, or you’ll be waterlogged from rain. The food will be a delight, but you’ll overhear a conversation from a stranger you wish you could permanently unhear.
The fair is many things to many people, and some would say it’s not worth it to bring a little kid.
