Oklahoma Sec. of State Also Arrested for Public Intoxication in 2022…

5:56 PM EDT on August 18, 2026

Well, it looks like Friday night’s drunken McDonald’s adventure wasn’t Oklahoma Secretary of State Ben Lepak’s first public intoxication arrest.

Thanks to a tip via the Ogle Mole Network, we’ve learned Stitt appointee Ben Lepak – the I-bet-soon-to-be former Oklahoma Secretary of State who was very publicly arrested for public intoxication in Edmond last Friday – was also arrested for public intoxication in the city back on June 8, 2022, after an officer encountered him next to a disabled Ford Explorer near Danforth and Coltrane.

Check this out:

Well, that sounds eerily familiar.

In his recent arrest, Lepak also told police he’d consumed one beer – before quickly clarifying it was actually less than one because he didn’t finish it. Then again, this is a dude who thinks of McDonald's as a treasured cheat meal, so he obviously can't be trusted.

For what it's worth, this second public intoxication charge is the third alcohol-related citation for Lepak – that we know of.

As other outlets reported today, Lepak was also taken into custody in The Village in 2021 on suspicion of being intoxicated while in control of a running vehicle. Court records reportedly show a breath test of roughly 0.11% to 0.12% and that Lepak later received a one-year deferred sentence.

So, yeah.

The dude has now had three alcohol-related arrests in five years. Nice to know Stitt’s picking only our best and brightest and apparently drunkest for his cabinet, huh?

Anyway, this is breaking-news-ish, and we may have more on the body cam footage from Lepak’s latest arrest soon. In the meantime, stay with The Lost Ogle. We’ll keep you advised.
