The saga of Brent Swadley has taken an unfortunate – and oddly symbolic – turn.
Late yesterday, the local media reported that the BBQ mogul turned convicted fraudster was recently rushed to the ER after injuring his middle finger in an incident with a detention officer.
According to Swadley and his legal team – who likely planted the story – the incident resulted in Swadley losing about 20% of the middle digit he used to screw over taxpayers.

“I lost about probably about 20% of my middle finger,” said Brent Swadley.
Yep, that’s right. Brent Swadley – the disgraced barbecue mogul who helped turn state park dining into one of the dumbest government scandals in recent Oklahoma history – has now added “lost part of finger in county jail” to his growing list of headlines.

Listen, I never wish physical harm on people, and I hope Swadley’s okay, but you have to admit that’s kind of ironic. Seriously, the guy who spent years shooting Oklahoma taxpayers the metaphorical bird loses part of his middle finger after a couple of months in county jail, and may now get to make us pay for it? Even Alanis would be impressed by that!
