In case you missed it, Robert Smigel – one of my favorite comic minds ever – took his Triumph the Insult Comic Dog act to D.C. for last weekend’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner – the big media event that proved it’s not always good to start the night with a bang.
Before the fireworks and assassination attempts, Triumph apparently strolled the red carpet and hotel lobby looking for GOP celebrities to lampoon. When he found former Oklahoma plumber turned DHS Secretary Marcuswayne Mullin, he went with a joke that, honestly, wasn’t his best.
Check this out. Neither I, Markwayne, nor Lady Markwayne seemed impressed.
