For Oklahoma City, this weekend is as big as it gets. It will be a buzzy, vibrant mess of street barricades, artist tents, and runners' shorts, as downtown gets set for her annual double-header: Arts Festival and Memorial Marathon.
Add to that Norman Music Festival, and it’s clear why nothing else really bothers to compete. Here’s your short, sweet, epic weekend radar…

2026 Norman Music Festival
All weekend | Downtown Norman
Oklahoma’s #1 music festival kicked off yesterday – Momma is headlining this year (and Josh Sallee is in the lineup), so we’re speeding 72 all the way. Norman is always cool, but this weekend it’s just one big music crawl, so brave the crowds and thank yourself later for the feeling of being young and alive.

Memorial Marathon
All weekend | Downtown OKC
Particularly if you’re not running, marathon weekend is super fun – especially Sunday. All the neighborhoods along the course spin off their own boozy cheer sections to support the runners, and it’s a magnificent and often emotional thing to behold.
Today is pre-game and expo, Saturday is for kids, halfsies and seniors, and Sunday is the main event. Get downtown early – everything comes alive and gets packed out early.

All weekend | Bicentennial Park
Obsessing over the weather forecast and getting caught in the rain anyway is an Arts Festival rite of passage. I enjoy the diverse works of artists from all over the country, but my favorite spot is the sculpture garden – getting to see new stuff from Joe Slack, Klint Schor, Rick and Tracey Bewley and other local legends. Check out the full lineup of artists, musicians and food vendors, then make your plan.
