Valentine’s Day is Saturday, which means Oklahoma City is drowning all weekend in a thick gloss of performative love. At least I think it’s gloss.
If you have a person to please – or at least placate – and don’t already have a plan, this roundup might save your inattentive ass. Here are a few of the least eye-rolling events going down in OKC.

PARENTS’ NIGHT OUT – Drop the Kids + Run…
Feb. 13, 2026 | 5:30-9:30 p.m. | Science Museum Oklahoma
It’s hard to score a sitter on Valentine’s weekend, but the Omniplex or whatever they call it will keep the kids tonight while you slip away for a quiet meal or rowdy rendezvous. $70 per child gets your little one otherwise-illegal after-hours museum play, fun activities and interactive science demonstrations – plus pizza and snacks. Advanced registration is required.

ADELÉ WOLF’S VALENTINE FOLLIES – Burlesque & Variety Revue
Feb. 14, 2026 | 8 p.m. | Civic Center Music Hall
If you dig feathers, sparkle, and a hero's dose of theatrical naughtiness, Adelé Wolf delivers. Her romantic Vegas-style burlesque and variety revue features showgirls, circus acts, and enough glitter and skin to make you skip the dinner resy, slip by Patricia's for a little something sinful, and head home for your own private encore.

LOVE! ON THE PLAZA – Valentine’s Block Party
Feb. 13, 2026 | 6-10 p.m. | Plaza District
Well, I think we can guess one confused lawmaker we won’t run into here! Tonight Plaza District is turning its usual monthly street party into a Love-fest with music, local vendors, art, food, drinks, and well-heeled hipsters. It’s free, festive, and a solid pick if you’d rather roam free and unfettered than suffer through a stuffy prix fixe dinner.

LOVE TAKES ROOT – An Orchid Engagement
All weekend ‘til 5 p.m. | Myriad Botanical Gardens
If you generally love plants more than people, this will be a joyful jaunt for you. The Crystal Bridge at Myriad is overflowing with orchids in full bloom, and this weekend they’ll be presented in a romantic display that proves the scientific fact that orchids are the mysterious, sexy flower. All apologies to the rose. I might crash this one, if only to discover the secret to getting my own orchids to rebloom.

SECOND SATURDAY XL: HEART FOR ALL – Community Art Workshop
Feb. 14, 2026 | 1-4 p.m. | Oklahoma Contemporary
If it would thrill you to make art and memories with your little Valentines or to catch a reading by poet laureate Hallie Waugh, come downtown for the afternoon! Oklahoma Contemporary is offering a special version of their usual Second Saturday workshop to celebrate art and love. Expect hands-on art activities and performances – free fun for the whole fam.
