People who spawned Ryan Walters want to be “more engaged” in Oklahoma Education…

I have some scary news for Oklahoma parents, teachers, and worst of all, students!

With the legislative session right around the corner, all the big think tanks, organizations, and other well-funded special interests that control our state’s policymakers have been holding meetings and press conferences to explain their priorities for the upcoming session.

One of those groups is the Oklahoma State Chamber of Commerce – the ultra right-wing think tank at the Capitol that, through its lobbying, policymaking, and political fundraising efforts – is partly responsible for the implosion of Oklahoma in the national education rankings. You know, the one that’s so bad that we’re now turning to Mississippi for guidance.

In fact, things have gotten so bad under their terrible watch that they – like an abusive stepfather – now want to be more involved.

Yep, great news everyone! The people who aggressively pushed school voucher tax credits onto the Oklahoma people, effectively choosing to defund public education in favor of subsidizing private Christian schools, now want to get more “engaged” in Oklahoma public education.

That’s just great to hear.

I know when I think, “Who can help make Oklahoma education better,” it’s definitely the people who used dark money groups to subsidize the campaign of Ryan Walters in 2022.

Seriously, isn’t that awesome? The dick weasels who have had their greasy hands in Oklahoma public education for years – even to the point of unleashing Ryan Walters onto the state like a devolved baboon – are now vowing to get more involved.

Anyway, although I appreciate their steadfast commitment to implementing more schemes that bring us terrible grifter leadership and siphon money away from public education to grease it up in the private sector, maybe instead of “engaging” with teachers and parents under the guise of pushing their right-wing agenda, they should sit this one out and let organizations that actually specialize in public education do their jobs.

Basically, let people who actually care about public education repair the damage the Chamber helped cause, and focus on lifting Oklahoma schools instead of exploiting them.
