It looks like Jenni Carlson isn’t the only Oklahoman employee who drinks on the job!
As we all know, President Donald J. Trump – the Christian God-chosen savior of our society who will make America great again, again – was sworn into office yesterday in Washington, D.C.
As expected, the day's events both galvanized and emboldened conservative Americans, including foreign-born ones, who were finally free to give heartfelt Nazi salutes again, while the far-left, Never Trump center, and those in the great resistance/difference dealt with the surreality of it all in their own unique way – from pouting in a corner to avoiding the news cycle to sharing and resharing their favorite funny memes on social media.

I guess you can put whoever runs The Oklahoman’s social media accounts in the “pouting in the corner” camp.
They shared a link to an article about Trump’s inaugural address on X and included a quick little synopsis:

As you probably know, I’m always a sucker for a deadpan headline that all-too-accurately describes a person or a situation in a humorous way, so I think that’s pretty cool. The paper should give whoever wrote that a raise or, at the very least, fire them and let them come work for us!
Seriously, that's the best local media Tweet since the old KFOR Social Media Bandit issued a Happy Zombie Jesus Day to all Oklahoma Christians:

Unfortunately, the powers that be at The Oklahoman don’t appreciate honest journalism as much as I do, and quickly deleted the post, giving it the lifespan of a Trump cabinet member. They also didn’t issue a correction, statement, or fake apology for being honest.
Instead, they just moved along with their regularly scheduled X programming.

Anyway, I’d like to thank The Oklahoman for, at least for one fleeting moment, speaking some truth to power and dabbling in the “is this satire or real-life journalism” realm. It sometimes gets lonely over here, and it was nice to see them stop by.
Stay with The Lost Ogle. We’ll keep you advised.
