Carrie Underwood to Perform at Trump’s Inauguration Bowl…

Earlier today, reports surfaced that beloved Oklahoma country music darling Carrie Underwood will perform at the 2025 Donald Trump Inauguration Bowl, presented by META, Amazon, and Google.

Surprisingly, Carrie wasn’t booked by Melania to sing “Before He Cheats (with a Porn Star).” Instead, the former American Idol champ will perform “America the Beautiful.”

Via Rolling Stone:

According to a program being circulated online for the Jan. 20 event, Underwood will sing “America the Beautiful” with the Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club. The performance will be held after Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh administers the Vice Presidential Oath of Office to JD Vance and before Trump takes the Presidential Oath of Office.

Naturally, some people in the liberal social media sphere are upset by the news, but it doesn’t really bother me.

Regardless of your thoughts on Donald Trump, you have to admit we live in a remarkable country where anything is possible—like a woman who achieved fame and fortune through an American reality show performing a song for a convicted felon who’s about to be sworn in as President by a Supreme Court justice he appointed, despite credible accusations of attempted sexual assault. Honestly, it’s fitting she gets to sing that song.

Plus—not to go full Amanda Taylor on you—but Underwood’s performance continues Oklahoma’s impressive streak of having country music royalty perform at inauguration festivities.

In 2020, Garth Brooks incensed MAGA loyalists by singing Amazing Grace at Biden’s inauguration, while in 2016, Toby Keith stuck a boot in liberal America’s ass by performing at Trump’s first inauguration. Who knows? Maybe Blake Shelton or Luke Bryan will take the stage at Trump’s third inauguration in 2029.

Anyway, we wish the best of luck to Carrie Underwood as she serenades a convicted felon on the steps of the democracy he tried to overthrow just four short years ago. Let’s hope she makes our state, country, and all her new MAGA fans proud, and doesn't cause and insurrection.
