Glen Powell tries to woo Emily Sutton…

There’s been a massive disturbance in the severe weather force.

On Monday night, the Oklahoma premiere of "Twisters" – the 21st-century blockbuster disaster flick that looks about as believable as an advanced Oklahoma winter weather forecast – took place at the Harkins Theater in Bricktown.

You don’t have to be a KFOR Weather School alum to know that sounds like a lame place for a Big League City movie premiere, but I guess it beats the Penn Square 10 where the first "Twister" premiere was held.

Overall, the 2024 premiere was a star-studded affair. In attendance were stars Daisy Edgar-Jones and Hollywood man-of-the-moment Glen Powell.

Naturally, world-renowned celebrity chaser Mayor David Holt – a.k.a. Mayor McSelfie – wasn't going to let that opportunity pass him by. He headed down to Bricktown faster than an Acme salesman to capitalize:

Attractive movie stars weren’t the only people posing for the cameras and wearing their Sundays-at-LifeChurch finest. The KFOR weather team – many of whom had cameos in the film – descended like a wall cloud onto the red carpet.

In addition to waving at cameras, signing autographs, and performing weather magic tricks for leisurely cruisers on the Bricktown Water Taxi, Emily pulled double duty and also interviewed the stars of the film, including Glen Powell and his chiseled jowls.

Powell – a legendary charmer – took the interview as an opportunity to flirt with a giggly Emily and let her know she’s the real MVP, sending her dew point to stratospheric levels.

Yep, move over Sydney and her Sweenies, it looks like Glen Powell has found a new woman to woo… or at least pretend he’s dating in an effort to promote a film.

Although it’s cool to see the Severe Weather Princess we helped spawn being coveted by a dude who was in "Top Gun," one person didn’t seem very pleased – Emily’s husband Michael.

And he couldn’t hide his disapproval, either.

Yikes. That expression says it all, huh? He looks as happy as David Payne when a tornado doesn't touch down.

For what it's worth, I don't think anyone from News 9 was at the premiere. They're probably salty they weren't included in the movie.

Anyway, I don’t blame Michael for being a bit constipated by Glen’s presence.

As a muscly-armed firefighter bodybuilder who saves the lives of cats and other Moore residents for a living, Michael’s a prime-time catch and can put most any Bricktown Charlie to shame, but this is Glen Powell he’s up against!

The dude is an alpha amongst alphas and makes googly-eyed, star-struck women melt like hailstones in a heatwave. No lie, Fresno cops would rather leave their wives alone with Paco Balderrama than Glen Powell, and honestly, I don’t think any of us can blame them.

Hollywood A-listers and the KFOR Weather Team weren’t the only local stars at the premiere.

I’m sure Louis will have a report on the rest of the proceedings this week or next.

In the meantime, stay with The Lost Ogle. We’ll keep you advised.
