As we first reported on Twitter, Blaine Dyer – a local oil and gas attorney turned shady criminal – pleaded guilty in Federal Court on Friday to conspiracy charges after "masterminding" a scheme to swindle Harold Hamm and Continental Resources out of millions of dollars.
I’m not a lawyer who robs from the .0001% in an effort to move into the 1%, but this wasn’t too difficult of a case for the FEDs to crack. Well, at least not with emails like this turning up in the discovery process...
Yep, THERE’S NO WAY WE FAIL OR NOT GET RICH AS FUCK! Well, that is if there isn’t an email floating around that clearly outlines our scheme.
Seriously, here’s some free advice to any young oilmen or women aspiring to become an oil overlord through criminal means. If you want to develop a scheme where you obtain another company’s confidential information and then use it to acquire and pump up the price of mineral rights in a specific area, stick to traditional methods and write it all down on the back of a disposable cocktail napkin at Junior’s.
According to a Jack Easy Money article in The Oklahoman, Dyer faces up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. In addition to all that, he’ll have to forfeit all the money he made as part of the scheme, which could total millions and millions of dollars.
That big financial hit is probably why Blaine’s hot Ranger Rover wife – an aspiring affluence influencer who designs her own golf apparel that was likely subsidized by Continental money – is salty with Harold Hamm and Continental Resources.
In October of 2021, she left this TikTok that mocked her husband's future incarceration color choices and captioned it with #fuHH #fuDOJ #fuCLR #orangeisthenewblack.
Yep, how dare Harold Hamm, Continental Resources, and the Department of Justice hold her husband accountable for his criminal actions! That’s so mean! How will she pay for lip injections now!?
If you’re bored and want a good laugh, you can watch all of her TikTok’s here at @FlirTeeGolf1. She and Blaine are basically like Robin Hood and Maid Marian, except for giving money he stole from the rich to the poor, they kept it all and spent it on housing, material possessions, and plastic surgery.
Anyway, I guess Blaine will be sentenced at a later date, but don’t feel too sorry for him.
From what I’m hearing, he apparently has quite a bit of money coming to him as part of some oil-water transfer thing that he was involved in. Plus, I guess he and the wife get to keep their big fancy McMansion, or at least sell it.
Basically, like most oil overlords who get caught doing shady things, he’ll likely be fine in the end.
Stay with The Lost Ogle. We’ll keep you advised.
