Not Satire: OK GOP to host fundraiser at Redneck Yacht Club

Give the State GOP credit – they know their target audience!

Last week, party leaders announced they're throwing a "Boots and Bling" fundraiser at the Redneck Yacht Club.

Located in OKC's growing and expanding Hepatitis District near I-40 and MacArthur, the 18-to-enter venue was recently ranked by SO6IX as the Best Bar In Town To Meet People Who Are Behind On Their Truck or Child Support Payment.

Organized by Edmond Civil War prepper Leslie NesSmith – and featuring special guests like bigoted State GOP Chair John Bennett, alt-right US Senate candidates Jackson Lackmeyer and Nathan Dahm, and the Carol Hefner-backed anti-masker OKC mayoral candidate Frank Urbanic – the party promises to be the right-wing drunken insurrectionist hootenanny of the year!

Here's the announcement:

Let's be honest – this is probably worth attending just for the chance to see Nathan Dahm get kicked off the mechanical bull and vomit Fireball all over his new sweater.

In addition to the bull riding, I heard they'll have other games and activities, too, such as Pin the Facemask on the Liberal, a $500 Wet Pentecostal Jean Dress Contest, and a mock trial to prosecute the war crimes of Hillary Rodham Clinton. They'll also be holding an American flag cakewalk and have a raffle giveaway for a year's supply of Hydroxychloroquine and brand-name Ivermectin. Yep, no generic horse dewormer here!

Considering the GOP likes to brag about being the political party of the square, fun-hating and very religious "moral majority," it may strike some people as odd that they're throwing a party at an 18-to-enter interstate dance club that features the following promotions on its Facebook page:

First of all, as a former judge of the Ms. Night Trips pageant who spent plenty of drunken nights in my 20s at Incahoots, I'm not one to criticize or judge Redneck Yachtclub for using these types of promotions to bring in customers. It doesn't bother me one bit. In fact, if I was 19 and lost my fake ID in a trailer fire in Minco, I'd totally be down to check this place out.

That being said, you have to admit that Redneck Yacht Club is an odd venue to host a fundraiser for a political party that prides itself on its sanctimonious, family values platform, and loves to judge, ridicule and ban most fun activities that promote sexuality and binge drinking.

Here's how the Oklahoma GOP justified it:

Yep, that's right. Republicans STAND FOR the rights of businesses even if they do not necessarily support what they sell. They do not virtue signal! Well, unless you want to get an abortion or buy recreational weed, or the business requires their employees to get a vaccine to keep their employment. Then it's virtue signal away!

Also, what did the business owner do to get the hero label? Is he a retired fireman who saved a family from a house fire, or a brave soldier who earned a Purple Heart in Afghanistan???

Nope, he's just some redneck bubba who "bravely" fought local masks mandates during a global pandemic that's killed over 10,000 Oklahomans.

Why do I get the feeling this "hero" has a large collection of blue jeans with embroidered eagle wings on the back pockets?

Anyway, if you want to attend this party, you can buy tickets for anywhere from $25 - $1,000 dollars over at EventBrite. If for some reason you do go, please send photos of when Nathan Dahm gets bucked off the mechanical bull. We'd appreciate it.
