Earlier this week, KFOR reported that the Department of Education was evaluating 384 applications for emergency teacher certifications for the upcoming school year. Being that many of our educators haven’t been educated to become educators at all, I’m wondering when that’s going to start affecting the average Oklahoman’s intelligence.
Well, that was quick. According to KOCO, a contractor for the Department of Transportation made a spelling mistake when finishing up a bike lane. But we at TLO can’t really blame the contractor for the typo. That’s because every contributor for this site is also a product of the Oklahoma education system who sprinkles misspellings across their articles like parmesan on a Chuck E. Cheese pizza.
But that doesn’t mean we can’t help each other out! I’ve got a proposition for the contractor. Patrick slides me a couple of bucks for beer money each week if I read his articles for typos. I’ll do the same for the contractor’s work for a weekly $10 gift card to Dave and Busters. DM me on twitter and we’ll work something out.
