Here's some great news for all the single guys who attend Southern Nazarene University! It's now legal to seduce a virgin with the promise of marriage in Oklahoma!
It was one of the many new laws that went into effect last week in Oklahoma. We told you about it back in May when Mary Fallin signed it into law:
Just like with comedy, politics is all about timing. And although I agree that getting rid of these antiquated laws is a good idea, maybe – just maybe – this isn’t the best time for the Oklahoma legislature to make it easier for creepy men to seduce virgins. With all the news they’ve made this legislative session, it just seems very self-serving.
Another law that went into effect was House Bill 1540. It allows wineries to sell their products for consumption both on- and off-premises. I think it was a companion bill to the virgin law, because nothing goes better with losing your virginity than Oklahoma wine.
With the passage of the new law, churches, libraries and our own TLO comment section are already seeing a surge in new memberships from dapper gentlemen callers looking for virgins to seduce. We'll let you know how that goes.
