State Rep. Scott Biggs resigned Thursday, telling the House speaker he got a job with the federal government...
According to his letter, Biggs' resignation is effective immediately. His new post will be to promote Oklahoma's agriculture industry, although he did not specify which job he will take...
"I believe I can do much more for our state as I work to promote the agriculture industry in Oklahoma, which has always been and will continue to be an integral part of my family's heritage," Biggs wrote in his resignation letter.
That's great!!! See you later!!! Have fun!!! Now go bother farmers with draconian authoritarian ideologies from a different era. They'll probably like it.

Nine lawmakers have resigned in the last year due to either career advancement or sex scandal. Whatever the reason, props to them all for knowing the right time to get out. There's no point in going down with a sinking ship.
