TLO Restaurant Review: Turkish Delight

10:41 AM EST on November 3, 2026

Sadly, my knowledge of Turkish culture is mostly based off multiple bootlegged viewings of Dünyayı Kurtaran Adam or, as many people in the West call it, Turkish Star Wars. An introduction to Turkish cooking, however, had proved more elusive—until now.

Sure, call me an uncultured ağırlı kafalı aptal, but I remedied that over the weekend with a visit to Turkish Delight, 180 W. 15th St. in Edmond. From the lavish vibes to the spectacular food, it was an experience I won’t soon forget.

See, I first noticed it last time I went to Guestroom Records in Edmond, as it is right next door. Intrigued, I realized I had never had Turkish food before, and the prospect was very exciting to me, leaving me on pins and needles until this past weekend.

Coming in from the rain last Saturday, I had a very Technicolor moment as I took in the extravagant decor. My wife and I enjoyed a brief wait to be seated in the plush entryway as the sweet smell of fragrant tea and other vibrant spices filled my nasal cavity.
