There's an art to making the most of a weekend, and it involves a little planning and a little mischief. We can point you in the right direction.

Here's what's worth getting into in Oklahoma City…

The Smashing Pumpkins: The Rats in a Cage Tour

  • What: Two-set arena concert celebrating 30 years of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness + nearly four decades of hits and deep cuts. Jesus, we’re old.
  • Who: The Smashing Pumpkins
  • When: Sat., Oct. 24 | 8 PM
  • Where: Paycom Center, 100 W. Reno Ave.
  • Cost: $35+
  • Why: A world-famous ’90s alternative band with all its original members still alive deserves to be celebrated – even if only three of the four are willing to share a stage. With a little built-in Halloween aesthetic courtesy of the name, the Smashing Pumpkins is a solid pick for Saturday night if you can go that hard, that late.
